50 inactive doorbells placed on the Union Square side of the famed Chinatown Gate at Grant and Bush St. in San Francisco. They lasted a week before they were finally taken down. The most lovely part of the whole thing is the hundreds of tourists' photographs in which they now loom in the background, including those taken by the guy who charges ten bucks per shot.
